Drake, Lil Wayne, Usher & More Set To Perform At 2014 BET Awards [Update: T.I., Rick Ross, Juicy & More Added]
The
BET awards are quickly approaching, and today we've been given a few of
the performers set to take the stage at the big event.
Things were already off to a big start with Chris Rock confirmed to host the show, but this new announcement has definitely taken anticipation to the next level. According to the network, Drake, Lil Wayne, Pharrell, and Usher will all be doing musical numbers that night, while the likes of Trey Songz and Jennifer Hudson will be among the presenters.
It has also been announced that Lionel Richie will receive the BET Lifetime Achievement Award this year.
The question is, will Drake and Wayne do "Believe Me"? Or perhaps something new?
Watch the show Sunday, June 29, at 8 p.m. EST on BET.
[UPDATE: Nicki Minaj, August Alsina & More Also Tapped]
In addition to Drake, Lil Wayne, Pharrell, and Usher taking the BET stage in the coming weeks, Nicki Minaj, August Alsina, Jhene Aiko, and John Legend have also been tapped to perform.
You'll be able to catch all the performances and the award winners on June 29th. The 2014 BET Awards will be hosted by Chris Rock, and broadcast live from the Nokia Theatre in L.A.
The big name performers just keep rolling in for the 2014 BET Awards, with a new load of artists announced today. T.I. and Iggy Azalea will perform on the main stage (likely their new track "No Mediocre" among other hits), as will Tyga, but the event will also sport a very impressive lineup for the pre-show.
So far the opening bill consists of Rick Ross, Meek Mill, Juicy J, French Montana, DJ Khaled, Yo Gotti, DJ Mustard, YG, Ty Dolla $ign, Tinashe, Rich Homie Quan, and Snootie Wild.
