Transformers: Age of Extinction Opens Huge Storms Box Office to $100 Million.
Transformers: Age of Extinction had an enormous opening weekend – hitting $100 million in its debut across an America hungry for giant robot fights.The fourth film in the franchise, starring Mark Wahlberg, easily trounced its box office competition.
Last week’s chart-topper,22 jump street, fell to second place with $15.4 million, just ahead of How to Train Your Dragon 2's $13.1 million third place finish.
In the #4 spot was Think like a Man Too with about $10.4 million.
Earning $8.2 million put Maleficent in fifth.
